A sports bar on Northbourne Avenue is closing after seven years, with owners blaming light rail construction and government taxes.
Punters watched the Raiders at Bleachers Sport Bar for the last time on Saturday. It has been open since 2018.
Independent MLA Tom Emerson said the ACT government should "reconsider its position on means-tested rate relief for businesses impacted by the light rail works".
"If a small business is experiencing a massive drop in revenue as a direct consequence of the light rail works, they should be offered commensurate compensation," he said.
