Canberra Institute of Technology's chief executive Margot McNeill is under pressure to resign, after the release of a damning report into her recruitment.
It was revealed yesterday that an ACT Legislative Assembly inquiry found Dr McNeill had "actively misled" the institute's board.
Mr Emerson issued a statement sharing Ms Clay's view that governance reform was needed at the institute, and that the board needed to take "decisive action" following the "damning findings".
"CIT's reputation has been significantly damaged by the conduct of successive CEOs," Mr Emerson said.
