The ACT government has not yet granted the tender for the operation of the Old Bus Depot Markets more than a year after it started the process.
Instead, the current operator, Iconic Markets and Events, is running the markets in Kingston on a month-to-month basis until at least April 6.
The government in January 2025 put the markets operation out for competitive tender to ensure the "best use" of the former Transport Depot building in Kingston.
On Thursday, in the Assembly, Independent MLA for Kurrajong, Thomas Emerson, asked for an update from Business, Arts and Creative Industries Minister Michael Pettersson, 14 months after the government made its announcement.
Mr Emerson said Old Bus Depot Markets stallholders "continue to reach out to me and my office expressing concern about this and the future of the site".
