The National Capital Authority is reviewing the paths and lighting around Lake Burley Griffin's five-kilometre central basin circuit, as women's safety advocates raise concerns about having to run in the dark. Mr Emerson said it was "fantastic to see the NCA taking the issue of lighting seriously". "Lake Burley Griffin is the centrepiece of our city. There'll be a lot of Canberrans hoping the NCA's review leads to real change," he said.
