The ACT Greens moved a motion calling on the ACT Government to introduce 20-minute (or better) bus frequencies on weekdays and 30-minute (or better) frequencies on weekends, with the intent of making it easier for Canberrans to use public transport.
ACT Labor was able to successfully move amendments watering down the motion to commit to running buses only every 1 hour or better on weekends.
Thomas voted against Labor’s amendment, given it would not increase the frequency of bus services for Canberrans beyond what the Government had already committed itself to deliver, but ultimately supported the Greens’ amended motion, which passed on the voices.
