This motion was brought forward by Liberal MLA James Milligan, calling on the Government to inquire into Fix My Street.
Fix My Street is the centralised system for reporting city services issues in the ACT, such as cracked footpaths, graffiti and dangerous trees. Many members of our community have complained that reported issues are not being fixed, or take a very long time to be addressed.
Thomas focused his remarks on the importance of well maintained and connected footpaths in creating an accessible cityscape for all Canberrans, including those living with disability, the elderly, children, and parents with prams. The Assembly unanimously supported the motion.
