Four weeks ago, I wrote to the CIT Board Chair outlining serious concerns with Dr McNeill's ongoing tenure as CEO of CIT. This Privileges Committee report only strengthens these concerns.
Dr McNeill has been afforded every opportunity to clear the air, and yet another Committee process has been obstructed by her refusal to do so.
Due process is important, but so too is the appropriate use of public funds and the integrity of our public institutions.
CIT is rolling out voluntary redundancies while their CEO is on paid leave at a cost to taxpayers of almost $8,500 per week.
It’s unfair on all the hard-working staff trying to deliver a quality student experience at CIT to have their work undermined by repeated and ongoing trainwrecks at the executive level.
The Board needs to take urgent action.
