Pressure is mounting on the CIT board to decide the future of embattled CEO Margot McNeill, who remains on leave of unspecified duration.
Independent MLA Thomas Emerson has written to CIT board chair Tom Rogers, arguing that her continued tenure is causing ongoing reputational damage to both CIT and the board.
It is not known when Dr McNeill will return to work, but CIT is listed for an Estimates hearing next Thursday afternoon (23 July) at which further questions will be asked about her role and the situation at the organisation.
Mr Emerson told Mr Rogers that Dr McNeill’s ongoing employment by CIT was untenable, given the numerous complaints and whistleblower reports his office had received from CIT staff.
