The closure of a key inner city car park has left businesses feeling under siege from a large-scale program of construction works that has made it harder to find accessible parking and further hurt trade.
Kurrajong independent Thomas Emerson said the removal of accessible parking spots from one of Canberra's least accessible locations was completely unfair for people with disability or restricted mobility.
"Allowing the closure of the entire car park seems like a lazy approach. Surely we can manage a staged approach to these works where partial access to the Mooseheads car park is retained throughout," Mr Emerson said.
