A public hearing scheduled to go ahead tomorrow into the recruitment of Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) chief executive Margot McNeill has been cancelled.
Dr McNeill took over as the new CIT chief executive in June last year, after resigning from her position as TAFE NSW chief product and quality officer in May.
Speaking to ABC Radio Canberra, independent MLA Thomas Emerson criticised the use of a standard form.
"So the board paid $38,500 for a standard contract template, a standard application form template, to ask generic questions that weren't relevant to the specifics of the role."
